Are there currently plans to analyze and publish the cost of this division into three colleges (as opposed to one college)?
Also, are there currently plans to analyze and publish the cost of the proposed School of the Arts (as opposed to a College of the Humanities that does not contain such an entity)?
If not, perhaps it would be useful to make such a recommendation to Dr. Sethna, especially in the context of budget cuts.
But how can the task-force make recommendations without knowing how they would affect the budget? It seems doubtful that the current A&S budget would be enough to cover the budgets of three new colleges plus a new school, not to mention the facilities needed to house these new units. Shouldn't the cost analysis inform the recommendation, not succeed it?

We're moving on to more detailed issues like budgets next. (Doesn't that sound like fun?) We'll certainly share what we learn.
